Choosing a right engineering branch is extremely important as it does have a huge impact on how your career shapes in initial days. Job & Research prospects are mostly there for any Branch you choose, provided youre dedicated to that branch and take it by choice and not just by your rank.
Incase you were good with Computers and interested in Technical Stuff like Hardware, Web Development and Programming as well as Mathematics in School, you may choose CSE/IT or related domains for Engineering like AI or Data Science & Engineering.
If Physics, Calculus, Fluid and Rotational Mechanics are something that fascinates you, might consider Mechanical Engineering or maybe Electronics/ Electrical if you liked parts of Physics like Current electricity Electrostatics, Magnetism, Hard Mathematics and never really fumbled with those hard integrations and circuit problems back in Engineering Preparation. Even if you have a hidden interest in Robotics or Drones and Automation or maybe EV & Self Driving Cars, Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical are best for you.
Incase, you didnt quite enjoy your Physics, but like Chemistry as well as Mathematics and stuffs like Calculus, Inorganic/Organic Chemistry, Qualitative Analysis, you may select somewhat Interdisciplinary or Chemical Science branches like Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or maybe something like Production/Industrial Engineering, which is a Mix of Everything including components of Data Science, Operations Research, Technology, Operations Management & Supply Chain.
