Admission to B.Tech programmes at UPES is offered based on three channel:-UPESEAT, JEE Main merit or class XII board exam score through centralized counselling.
The UPESEAT admission test is entrance test conducted by the college itself.

Placements and internship are one of the highlights of this college. Internship are mandatory for all the students as it is a 2 credit course. Career Services of the college is very well functioning and provide ample opportunities to students for placements and internship. Placements go upto 96-98% per year with average package around 4-5 lakhs per annum. Stipend for the internship was not for all the students but to those which were offered by the company ranging from 10k to 20k.
