To get seat in IITs you need to clear the Entrance e4xam for admission. You have to clear the JEE Advanced Exam with good Score. JEE Advanced exam is one of the toughest exam. For JEE Advanced you need to clear the JEE Mains Exam. Students who want to get admission in courses other than B.Tech have so many options to enter IITs. These options are :- you need to clear the other exam like :- GATE, GATE Exam for taking admission in M.tech. JAM, CAT, CSIR NET.

You haven't mentioned the course. Based on the information available in your profile we consider that you are an Engineering aspirant in class 12th. To get admission to B.E/B.Tech in Indian Institute is Technology (IITs) you need to appear for JEE Advanced. A candidate can appear for JEE Advanced for 2 consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying exam that is class 12th. For instance if you have passed class 12th in the year 2020 you can appear for JEE Advanced 2020 and JEE Advanced 2021 only. To appear for JEE Advanced you need to appear in JEE Main and qualify in it. Every year the qualifying cut off percentile for JEE Main changes depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. In 2020 the qualifying cut off percentile for JEE Main was as follows

Admission in IITs is on the basis of your rank in JEE advanced examination for undergraduate engineering courses.
In order to appear for jee advanced you need to be eligible for it.
For your reference
jee advanced eligibility criteria is given below :-
-) you need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination. For this year i. e 2021 this percentage requirement in class 12th has been lifted off.
-) You can give JEE advanced examination for the maximum of consecutive 2 years starting from the year of appearing for your 12th examination i. e to be eligible for JEE advanced 2021 your 12th board examination appearing year should be either 2021 or 2020 .
-) There is upper age limit, according to which to be eligible for jee advanced 2021,you should be born on or after 1st October 1996
-) you must qualify JEE mains to be eligible for jee advanced
