IIT Dhanbad provides a decent food throughout the year. The food is satisfactory . After the admission you will figure out that the mess food is tasty only for few months (2 or 3 at max) but after that you will find it difficult to eat especially the dinner because of the repetitive menu and same taste always.
They serve meals 3 times a day.
