It should be around 28k including NITs & IIITs. But as of now there is nothing new announced for 2017.

Hi, In IIT's there are about 10006 seats and after the new 4 addition in IITs the seats have increased.
You can check the complete seats details for IITs here:

In NIT's till last year there was a total capacity of 24,323 seats for admissions.
