How much cutoff increases or decreases every year for government medical College for general category? please tell me average cutoff increases or decreases .
Abhinav, Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Now the qualifying formula for General Category is always 50 percentile of the top NEET score. Now as mentioned, that the cut offs depend on various factors, the number or marks do change. For example, in 2019, the qualifying percentile for General Category was 701-134, which was 15 marks more than 2018's cut off. Now this year, it might be the same. Wherein the cut offs might fluctuate 15-20 marks either towards the lesser or the greater side. And also cut offs decrease when the no.of seats available are more and vise versa. And few States like Delhi, UP, Bihar have higher cut offs than most of the States and so for a seat in these States, you will need more than 575.
