Hello Nikhil,

There are no exact marks to get for getting into the top colleges. To get into any nit your score should be more than 220. To get into a decent college through JEE - Main you need to score more than 140 marks in the exam and for the topmost college that is the IITs you need to have a good rank in JEE - Advanced.

Hello,

Many colleges give admission only on the basis of JEE Mains marks. Some of them are government and some are private. The top government colleges are NIT's, IIIT'S. And private colleges are Thapar University, LNMIIT ,etc.

To get admission in these institutions you need to have a rank below 50-60k in JEE mains and to achieve these rank you must score around 140-150 marks in JEE mains.

It depends on the criteria of best engineering college in JEE Mains. Considering rank wise the top colleges in JEE Mains are to be the top NITs, PEC, IIITs. You must score about 230+ to get your prefered branches in these top colleges. (The cut-off is obviously subject to change according to the question paper which comes)
