JEE Main is one of the most important entrance exams for candidates who wish to do engineering. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The authorities use the normalization process to equalise the difficulty level of the exam. To calculate a percentile, the authorities compile the raw marks of the students and normalize the same. Therefore, it is not possible to tell exactly how much marks one should score to get 99 percentile in the exam. But as per previous year’s analysis, one should score more than 178 marks to increase the chances of securing 99 percentile. To know more about the normalization process, read the JEE Main Marks Vs Percentile article.
