Biology is the most scoring subject. For NEET, 90 questions are asked from biology subject. As each question carries 4 marks - the biology part is of total 360 marks. So one can easily make half of his/her result by scoring atleast 300-320+ in biology.
Mostly 90% questions are asked from the NCERT itself and the rest of the questions are concept based- logical that one can answer if thorough with the entire NCERTs of both class 11 and 12. Maximum questions are directly picked from the lines and so you should go though each and every line of every chapter.

Dear Divya, that is a tough question to answer because NTA hasnt specified anythimg as such. But JEE Mains April session has been mostly dependant on NCERT. Why does iy become relevant here? NTA is the examination conducting authority for both JEE and NEET. Having said that, Biology is the biggest section in NEET, comprising about half of the exam, and acing this subject can help you in scoring more in the exam. NCERT is best book to study biology for NEET, and solving NCERT based questions will give an added advantage. Human Physiology and Genetics have maximum weightage in NEET. It is advisable to practise questions of Genetics from previous year question papers, which will give you a thorough understanding of how the questions are being asked. Topics of Plant and Animal kingdom have a lot of portion to memorize. You can prepare these topics by making a comparative table for the sub-topics and studying it together. Plant physiology is also equally important and easy to score.
