For getting in a PSU you need to score really good.Now if you secure around AIR 500 you can get call from maximum PSU's.So talking about Electrical if you get around 45 marks you will get couple of calls from like IOCL and one are two other(can't recall which one).But it is less compared to one who secure around AIR 500.so I would say that till AIR 1500 one has decent chances to get call and clear there selection procedure.

As we know that getting into a PSU is very tough but with the best preparation strategy you can crack it with ease.
For EEE department,If you can score between 70-80 in GATE exam .you are having high chances of getting into a PSU.As you are from OBC 70-80 score is well enough to get PSU.

More than 65 or sometimes 70 can give you PSU being a OBC candidate.
See there are several factors according to which everything changes so the above mentioned marks can vary year to year.
Like:
1.Number of students appeared
2.Number of vacancies
3.Difficulty level of the paper.
