How much scholarship is provided to the NET qualified students?

National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University grant Commission (UGC) and is the gateway in our country to start a career in the Lectureship and Assistant Professor in various Colleges, Universities and other Lecturers or Assistant Professor in various Colleges, Universities and other Educational Institutions. This NET (National Eligibility Test) is conducted twice in a year i.e. In the month of June and December and the Notification are released in the month of June and December and the notification is released in the month of March and September
UGC Grants Junior Research Fellowship to the NET passed Out candidates in various Universities and College of India. The candidates those who qualify are categorized in two sections
Junior Research UGC Fellowships - Those whose rank is higher gets the NET JRF after which one can apply in various Colleges and Institutions in India for admission to the PhD Programs. NET is the only a qualifying exam in India it does not ensure one [‘s admission in University For that in has to face the Interview Board
Students who qualify as JRF are also eligible for the Lectureship. Moreover, JRF Qualification is considered more prestigious as JRF Qualified Candidates are entitled to a monthly stipend of INR 23000 per month for a period of two years. On completion of two years as JRF and if the fellow is registered for the PhD the fellowship is upgraded to SRF (NET) and the stipend is increased to INR 28000 per month for the third and the subsequent years
Studnets from nOn NET background get very less stipend of 5000 to 8000rs.
