How should I start my preparation for placements and I am an ece student of btech 2nd year to gain higher packages?

You have enough time for placements. Generally the placements occur in the first semester of Final year Btech. As you are from ECE you are eligible for both Software and Core companies. If you want to go for a software Company then make sure you have a good knowledge on C language. That is the basic requirement of any software company. So learn C language well. You should also br able to solve Aptitude and logical reasoning questions. For every company Written test is the first and the important round. So practice Aptitude and C programming. If you want to go for the Core related Company focus on your Subjects and gain knowledge.
