How do I prepare for IIT-JEE 2021?
Is 1 year sufficient for the IIT JEE without coaching?
Yes, it is. I practically prepared for JEE and cracked it in a year. I was enrolled in a coaching but never really did the study
Well there is a lot of time left for the JEE 2021 and you can easily aim for a below 100 rank. So i will give you a strategy and some tips that might help you to achieve that.
Here is a strategy first.
Here I am going to mention full strategy to achieve good score in JEE 2021, and for sure you'll achieve your goal and get admission into your dream college :))
Here are mainly three ways to get total grip on jee.
1. Academics
2. Practice
3. Exam facing skills and Time management
I'll also mentioned some books for you , so that you can score better.
NCERT Books: you need to read the NCERT books completely. You strongly need to have a perfect grip on conceptual/academics part. In the jee main there aren't asked that tough questions as compared to jee advanced, academics covers a major portion in JEE main.
See having a strong grip on concepts is always going to help you, when you start preparing at the JEE level.
PREVIOUS YEAR PAPER: After all these books, it would be best if you do solve the previous year paper. You have already got a lot stronger at your concepts and question solving without noticing. So it will be best if you can get familiar with the previously asked questions.
MOCK SERIES: Here comes the final and master stroke, you need to give mock series as much as you can to get a practice of a lot of questions before the exam.
BOOKS :- you need some books after completion of your NCERT books for reaching the JEE level. So these are the books which i used and i recommend.
Math: Arihant and Cengage Publication, KC Sinha, ML Khanna, RD Sharma objective
Physics: NCERT, Resnick Halliday, HC Verma, DC Pandey
Chemistry: NCERT, NCERT exemplar, OP Tondan.
*Note - Make sure of making a time management chart before starting your preparation (not 1 month before exam).
If you are preparing for jee mains then there is no fixed time for preparation.
There preparation of jee mains is done with dedication. Just don't waste time. Use every possible time of yours. But include sleep in it.
Read all the subjects daily. Give atleast 3 hours of self study and total of extra 3 hours of revision of notes or previous chapters ( 1hour for each subject).
Out of 24hrs, give only 6 hours to sleep, 6 hours to self study + revision.
Now in the left 12 hours, do your schooling or coaching or read new chapters or concepts ans do the large among of problems from every subjects.
Even if you get a 10 min leisure time, then use that to solve a hard question.
And note that there is no time table for preparation of jee. Follow each and every advice of your mentors, do the home work of your coaching timely. Study with concentration. And utilise every free time of yours for prepration of jee, and give less time to boards, because if you seriously prepare for jee then you will easily get qualified in your board exams. Because preparation of jee exams is a devotion.
