You just have to fill up the CAT application form, appear for the exam and try to get 98+ percentile.

It looks easy on the paper but you will have to work hard for it.

When you fill the CAT form, it has an option of selecting the IIMs whose interviews you would like to appear for. So that takes care of all the IIMs.

All the 20 IIMs will shortlist candidates on the basis of CAT score and on other parameters such as past academic qualification, diversity, work experience etc.The Common Admission is a computer based test for admission in a graduate management program. The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR).

After shortlisting candidates all the IIMs conduct written ability test (WAT) and personal interview (PI) round.Many of the IIMs give maximum weightage to CAT score and personal interview for admission. In the final selection factors like past academic performance, academic cut-offs, gender diversity, work experience etc. play a major role in admission process. If you qualify the first stage of admission criteria (CAT) will be called for writing ability test (WAT) and personal interview (PI) rounds. Admission criteria in IIMs are independent from each other.Thus you can reach IIMs through this procedure.
