Just on the degree of class twelveth, You cannot be an Income tax officer.  If you wish to become an Income Tax Officer after 12th , you will have to complete an UG degree and then qualify the SSC CGL exam or the UPSC exam for Indian Revenue Services.

UPSC (civil services) - If you get IRS position in it, you can become income tax or can get indirect tax department.

SSC CGL - By clearing this also, you can achieve Income tax Inspector or excise, customs inspector.

But as you are planning after 12th itself, it's very good way to attempt for such profession. You can go for graduation with subjects like economics which would help you further in civil services exam . You should plan from the beginning and start in that direction.
