For getting admission in Nit's you must get minimum of 75% marks in your 12th Board examinations(as per the new rules, there will be no normalisation and thus no board marks will be added with jee marks). If you are from General Category and want good Nit's (preferably top 10 ) than you must have to score 220+ marks ,For Obc category students it will be around 175+ marks and for Sc/St students it will be around 140+ marks .
However, Marks more than 200 is considered as ideal marks for every category students for getting good NIT'S.

For getting admission in Nit's you have to clear the cutoff marks of Jee Mains first after that it depends , for Example : For Getting new nit's and nit's which are not so popular 150-160 marks is enough but for getting old & reputated iit's, you have to get more than 220 marks , if you are from sc/St/pwdcategory you can take admission in less marks as the cutoff will be less for you ,also the students belonging from the north East states(who are having home state quota) can take admission in their state Nit's with All India rank even more than 2 lakhs....

Hi Sanjana,
You must have a minimum of 75 percent in your 12th Boards along with a score not less than 150/360 in JEE Main to secure a seat for any of the courses. If you're aiming for top branches (CSE, EEE, Mech) in top NITs then a score of 220+ for General would suffice.

Hope it helped.

PS: The above scores are not exact but these are just approximate scores.
Work hard, you can score good!
