The first step is to get covered all the syllabus for the entrance exam.

In any engineering exam there are mainly three subjects viz Physics , Chemistry, Mathematics. If you have done good in class 12th then you can perform well in the exam.

If you consider IIT entance exam then the syllabus is quite large and needs lot of time.
