You should start any topic with HC.Verma, ofcourse, which is the universally recommended book. Solve all the types of questions from it,solved and unsolved. You may not be able to solve all the questions in first or second or even after the third attempt but dont get upset with it, as almost no one can do it.
After giving sufficient time to HC.Verma, you can switch over to IRODOV and start solving it which will ensure that you are thorough with every concept and you are prepared for JEE.
Remember, IRODOV is just to build your thought process which is very very important especially for a very good rank but its not possible that you will be able to solve all of its questions. What you can do is to make constant efforts POSITIVELY.
If you are unable to understand any concept, you can refer HALLIDEY-RESNICK which has seriously amazing theory and real life example which will also increase your interest in Physics. And for some extra Objective Questions, you can solve Arihants New Pattern book by DC Pandey.
Also, you should have a little bit systematic approach towards towards solving any book for example .You should tick the questions you have solved so that that it helps when you open it the next time and put star marks infront of questions that are very good or have some very important concept involved in it.
All the best.
