Hey,

Diploma and polytechnic course is the same thing. You take admission in polytechnic colleges for doing diploma in technical courses.
Now, since you are 12th passed, then you can go for graduation courses instead of diploma course. Diploma is done after 10th, so your 12th qualification will be of no use.
You can go for bachelor's degree now.
