I am a 2026 CBSE Class 12 student with COMP result. I have RT in Physics and Math. All other subjects are passed. My plan is to clear one subject in CBSE July 2026 compartment and the second subject as a CBSE private candidate in March 2027. When filling JEE Main 2027 application form, should I select "Passed" or "Appearing"? Which year should I enter 2026 or 2027? Will I be eligible for NIT admission in JoSAA 2027 counselling if my second subject clears in March 2027? Please provide official sources or NTA circulars if possible.

For JEE Main 2027, if your original Class 12 result year is 2026, then generally you should enter:
• Year of Passing → 2026
• Status → Passed (only if CBSE officially declared you pass after compartments)

During JoSAA/CSAB counselling, you’ll need to show all updated marksheets/supplementary results together. Eligibility for NITs/IIITs will finally depend on:
• Completing all required subjects
• Meeting the 75% rule or Top 20 percentile criteria

So keep all compartment/improvement documents safely for verification later.
