I am currently in class 12th . Should i study for NATA side by side or should take an year off ? Also, should i learn CAD beforehand ?

You can definitely study NATA exam simultaneously with 12th.
Uou can also take up CAD coaching incase you have ample of time.
Else can be learnt post Architecture as well.
