I am currently living in urban area and Urban Vokkaliga are not elgible for OBC reservation , we do have some land in our village and My uncle is still living there, I have decided to change my both the ration and aadhar card to the new address to avail the obc reservation. Is this ok ? Please reply
Changing your ration card and Aadhaar card address to a village address, where your uncle resides and where you own land, is not advisable for the sole purpose of obtaining OBC reservation if Urban Vokkaligas are not eligible. While updating your address is legitimate, manipulating it to gain an unfair advantage could be seen as a violation of regulations and could lead to problems later on.
If you are genuinely eligible for OBC reservation based on your family's history and circumstances, follow these steps:
1. Obtain the Required Documents:
Gather all necessary documentation, such as caste certificate, income certificate, and other relevant documents.
2. Apply for OBC Reservation:
Follow the prescribed procedures for applying for OBC reservation benefits.
3. Provide Accurate Information:
Ensure all information provided in your application is accurate and truthful.
Important Considerations:
Transparency: It is crucial to be transparent with the government about your true address and circumstances.
Legitimate Grounds: Only pursue OBC reservation if you have genuine grounds and eligibility.
Legal Consequences: Be aware that any attempt to circumvent the rules or provide false information could result in legal penalties.
