I am doing my graduation and further i want to study msc in iit so how i shd prepare frm now without any classes but through online
Hi Krupa,
IITs are a great option option for M.Sc and they are among the best institutes in the country for the course. The eligibility includes that you should have secured at least 55% in your Bachelors degree.
The entrance exam for admission for M.Sc programmes is JAM. It is applicable for Masters in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, Biological Sciences, Mathematical Statistics and Biotechnology. The paper is of 100 marks with 60 questions.
You need to have good preparation to crack it, since it is a competitive exam with many students fighting for few seats. JAM coaching is available online and the best ones vary for each subjects. Some of the popular choices are Eduncle, Sourav Sir's classes, Dips Academy, Pathfinder etc. Their faculty is experienced and provide good quality study material and live/recorded lectures. Let me know your subject.
See which one works out best for you.
All the best!
As you have not mentioned in which branch you're presently pursuing your graduation and the specialisation you prefer for post graduation but still it will help you.You have to prepare for GATE exam to get in any of the IITs.The best time to start your preparation is right after you 4th semester.
As you have mentioned that you want to do self-preparation, read textbooks which are standard, research some books and take the help of your professors or your seniors and prepare notes from it and revise them regularly so that you will not forget what you have studied.Start with the subjects which are hard for you and grasp some idea about it.You may not understand them right away when you study for first time.It is okay, do not freak out and loose confidence.Read them again and again and take help of your professors in your college. And give as many mock tests as you can.Analyse where you stand in your progress and work accordingly.
Keep a time table and follow it strictly. And there are many YouTube channels which provide GATE lessons you may search them orelse you have even paid online classes which make you to prepare for GATE providing timely classes, guidance, timetable, mock test etc.You can sit and home and prepare for it.
I hope this is helpful.
All the best!
