I am expecting 70 marks in mechanical gate 2019, what are my chances of getting selected in PSUs?

GATE exam is conducted every year in the months of January end or February. Every year in general around 2 lakh candidates appear for the GATE Mechanical enginering exam alone . Therefore the competition is very high in this exam . Last year , the cut off marks for GATE 2018 (Mechanical) for general category candidates was 34.7. This year too the cut off is expected to be around 33 marks out of 100. Now as per the trends of previous years , a GATE score of around 70 marks will fetch you a rank in between 320 -370 rank . This is a pretty decent rank and you have a very good chance of getting recruited by PSUs .The various PSUs that are recruiting Mechanical engineering students through their GATE scores are as follows :-

• Babha Atomic Research Centre - Pay scale around Rs. 56,100 per month along with various allowances.
• Delhi Development Authority - Pay scale around Rs. 34,800 to 42,000 per month along with allowances.
• Hindusthan Petroleum Corporation Limited- Pay scale of around Rs. 60,000 to 1,80,000 per month along with allowances.
• Indian Oil Corporation Limited - Pay scale of around Rs. 60,000 per month with allowances.
• Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders - Pay scale of Rs. 40,000 to 1,40,000 per month with allowances.
• Nuclear Power Corporation Of India Limited - Pay scale of around Rs. 35,000  per month with allowances during training + Pay scale of around Rs. 56,000 per month with allowances after appointment.
• National Thermal Power Corporation - Pay scale of around Rs. 24,900  per month with allowances during training + Pay scale of around Rs. 50,500 per month with allowances after appointment.
• Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited - Pay scale of around Rs. 24,900 to 50,500 per month with allowances
• Vizag Steel - Pay scale of around Rs. 20,600 to 46,500  per month with allowances during training + Pay scale of around Rs. 24,900 to 50,500 per month with allowances after appointment.
• West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited - Pay scale of around Rs. 15,600 to 39,100 per month with allowances.

These companies have their own recruitement procedure and may require a small application fee for applying to these companies. Do keep a track of their recruitment notices in their websites and apply to those.
