hi pabali, as i told you before,The seats from Central Pool of MBBS/BDS seats, maintained by seeking voluntary contribution from State Govts/Medical institutions are allocated to States/UTs which do not have any Medical/Dental colleges of their own and other categories mentioned below. The actual nomination of the candidates is made by the respective State Govts. or the concerned Departments as mentioned against each. The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has no discretionary quota against which any candidate could be nominated. For BDS, the Government Dental College, Aurangabad, Maharashtra and KG Dental College, Lucknow have reserved one seat each for the students of the Islands.

If you have domicile of Assam State then you are eligible to apply for its state counseling and if you are having any residential proof for the same then you can apply there in Assam and other states under All India Quota as domicile is not required for 15% seats and you can write NEET exam in Nagaland state only as previous year the exam centers were available there also. For reference, you can go throgh the below last year brochure as well -
Also, the application form for NEET 2018 will be released in the month of January most probably in last week so I would suggest you to stay in touch with us on below provided website to know all latest updates -

Dear Pubali,
Do not worry about your chances for admissions through NEET. The existing rules of both Assam and Nagaland are in your favour, meaning you are eligible for admissions through both states. Apart from this, you are also eligible to apply for 15% All India Quota seats and seats available in Deemed and Central Universities. Please find below the details:
-
In the case of Assam
: To be eligible for Assam State Quota seats in NEET, the Assam Medical admission rules require candidates or their parents to have been permanent and continuous residents of Assam for 20 years or more. Also, candidates should have studied their Classes 7 to 12 in Assam. However, as your father is a Government employee posted outside Assam, then this rule is relaxed and you will be eligible to apply as a Assam domicile candidate to the medical colleges of Assam as long as you clear NEET.
- In the case of Nagaland : You are right in stating that Nagaland does not have any medical colleges of its own. Hence for this purpose, NEET has something called ‘Central Pool Quota’ seats offered to states which do not have any or enough medical colleges of their own. As per this, candidates from Nagaland will be eligible to apply as State Quota candidates to 30 MBBS seats offered by 23 different Government colleges across the country. As your father is posted in Nagaland as a Government employee, you will be eligible to apply as a Nagaland candidate for these seats.
- 15% All India Quota seats and 100% Deemed and Central University seats : 15% of seats in all Government colleges in India are open to candidates from all states so it does not matter whether you apply from Assam or Nagaland as long as score you sufficiently high in NEET to qualify for admissions. Similarly, Deemed and Central Universities also have no domicile restrictions for their seats.
So all you have to decide is whether you wish to apply as a Nagaland candidate or an Assam candidate for NEET. I would recommend you apply as an Assam candidate as it will give you the chance to apply for more number of seats. If you wish to appear for NEET in English, you are free to write the exam from anywhere in India depending on your convenience and this won't impact your admissions in any way.
Feel free to ask if you have any more doubts. Wishing you good luck!
