I am from W.B, I have done BA in Eng with 59% from KKM College,Pakur. I had applied for PG but did not come my name in 1st merit list, why ?

Hello Aspirant!
Names in merit list appear on the basis of marks. May be your marks were not high enough to be included in the first merit list. Wait for the secind merit list to be released and see if your name is there or not.

Please explain in details about the course and college or university you have applied To.
But for reference I would like to inform you that atleast in West Bengal State University the eligibility criteria was
A bachelor's degree with English with minimum 60% marks.
However, admission in masters is based on merit.
Hope you get a call from your desired college soon.:)
