If you have qualified GATE, then you can apply and be considered for PSU recruitment. Shortlisting for interview is usually done on the basis of GATE scores, so if you have valid and good scores then you might have a chance for being recruited. While some companies recruit directly on the basis of GATE scores, some companies use the scores as a screening process and later pick candidates after a personal interview or short written test. For PSU's you need to have a decent rank(in the top 500) if you are a general category candidate.
