The state for which you have a domicile with you would be considered as your hometown and in case, you are thinking to get home state quota in IITs then it does not consider the same as it is only valid for NITs because these are available in every state(region), so there should be some benefit to the student of that particular state but IITs are not available in each state so it does not offer such reservation.
