NITs takes admission through JEE Main only and to be eligible for NITs you need to score 75% marks in your boards exam or you should be in top 20 percentile.

You are targeting which year for admission?

You can appear in JEE Main to take admission in your state counselling and private colleges. You are not eligible for NITs/IIITs/IITs and GFTIs.

It is expected that in 2018 there will be only one entrance exam to take admission in engineering colleges including state and private level except IITs.
