I booked a ticket from Jamnagar to Delhi and I got a waiting-list ticket of 44. The journey is on 2nd Sept. Do you think it will get confirmed by then?

You must ask this type questions on relevant website like IRCTC,which is for Indian railways query.
Although you have 17 days, if it's sleeper class then probability of getting confirm is there if it's 3rd AC then it may come upto RAC quota. You can keep checking your pnr status and you can cancel before 24hr if it's not get confirmed to get maximum refund.
