I completed m. pharmacy with pharmaceutics subject...also qualified Gpat ..what exam is better for PhD addmission ?? Csir or UGC ??

Both the exams are conducted to check the eligibility of the candidates for lecturership and junior research fellowship. CSIR NET is conducted for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for the eligibility of Professorship in subjects - Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. On the other hand, UGC NET is conducted for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for the eligibility of Professors in subjects like Arts, Music, regional language, foreign language, social studies, commerce, etc. You can appear for CSIR NET.
