I completed 12th(98%)in 2017.I joined mech and completed first year with 90% in 2018(DROP OUT 2ND YEAR)>Am I eligible for 2019 KVPY exam . i

Hi Shekhar,

The following is Stream-wise KVPY eligibility criteria:

SA- Candidates enrolled in 11th class and having aggregate 75% marks(general), 65% (SC/ST/PWD) in Maths and science in 10th standard

SX- Candidates enrolled in 12th class and having aggregate 75% marks(general), 65% (SC/ST/PWD) in Maths and science in 10th standard

SB - Candidates enrolled in the 1st year of an undergraduate degree in science and having aggregate 60% marks(general), 50% (SC/ST/PWD) in Maths and science in 12th standard

As you completed 12th class in 2017 so you are not eligible for KVPY as according to eligibility criteria of KVPY 10th, 11th, 12th, the 1st year must be in consecutive years.

Hello student,

The basic eligibility for KVPY is different for different qualification holder as follow:

If you enrolled in XI Standard then you should have a score of 75% marks in your tenth board exam as a general category candidate and 65% for sc and st candidates.
If you enrolled after 12 th for degree courses in science then you must have 75 % marks in pcm for general category candidate and 65 % for SC/ST candidates.
