I didn't understand the following details properly to get admission for b. Tech I have to clear only jee main or other criteria eligibility

See there are many variety of exams to enter into BTECH.It depends on the level of college you wish to choose.If you want enroll yourself in institutes of national importance like NIT's,IIIT's you need to qualify in JEE mains.There are also many institutes which take admission directly based on JEE mains.But if you want to enter colleges like IIT's you need to clear JEE advanced which is possible only after you clear JEE mains.There are also many institutes which take admission directly based on JEE advanced.For some Institutes there are their personal exams like Manipal,VIT,BITSAT for bits,SRM etc.Also there are state level exams for government colleges of particular states like EAMCET for Andhra Pradesh,TCET for Telangana,KCET for Karnataka etc.Also you get colleges allotted to you based on your performance.Also you get concessions in colleges like Manipal,VIT etc based on your performance in their exams.Earlier for allocation of scores of JEE mains percentages of +1 and +2 were taken into consideration.But from 2017 this process came to a halt.So now only marks of JEE mains decide the ranks of JEE mains.There are also some colleges which take admission based on your scores in +1 and +2.My suggestion is try for IIT's.Hope my answer helps you to a little extent.If you have further questions please let me know. To gain admissions to various colleges that offer admissions through JEE Main meeting the eligibilty criteria of JEE Main is the only elgibility criteria for getting admission to these Institutes.

In short, if you meet eligibilty criteria for JEE Main you meet the eligibility criteria for these Institutes.

JEE if you want to get into NITs IIITs and other colleges, JEE Advanced for IITs, BITSAT for BITs. Apart from these there are many other exams that you give, some institutes have independent exams like VIT, Manipal etc.

Last year for JEE 2017 the top 20 percentile cut off was 427 marks out of 500

To get admission in IIT, NIT, GFTI you have to SECURE an average of 75 percentage in PCM and none of the subject should be less than 60 percentage marks. Also if you don't have 75% they consider the top 20 percentile off the respective board by calculating all 5 subjects.

For IITs : You need to clear JEE Mains and score an aggregate of over 75% in your HSC or equivalent exams or be in the top 20 percentile of your board, whichever is lower.

For NITs : You only need to appear for JEE Mains and you'll get a college based on your rank.

Hlo sunita, jee main :- if you want to get admission in NITs, IIITs, NSIT delhi, DTU.

Jee advance:- on the basis of jee main cutoff tou will be eligible for Jee advanced. If you want to get admission in IITS, IISER, IISC than you have to clear both jee main & jee advance and you have to score good rank in jee main to get good NIT and good rank in jee advanced to get into good IIT.

BITSAT:- if you want to get into Bits pilani or any other BITs Campus.
