Hello,
Both are different fields.B.Arch take 5 years whereas B.Planning take 4 years.
In B.arch you will get job related to private constructions and government constructions.
You will study topics like
Architecture Design
Building construction
Theory of Structures
Building Management
History of architecture
Architectural Drawing
Computer & Software Lab
Architectural appreciation
Design Applications
Whereas in B.planning you will get job related to designing, engineering, managing and also resolving challenges related to urban human settlements.
You will learn subjects like:
Fundamentals of Urban and Regional Planning
Fundamentals of Building Structures
Materials and Principles of Construction
Evolution of Aesthetics, Culture and Technology
Techniques of Planning

Traffic and Transportation Planning
Introduction to Urban Design
Landscape Planning and Design

Earlier their was only one exam for both but now the combined paper is now separated as B.Arch paper and B.Planning paper. The candidates can apply for either one of the paper or both the papers.
And now the pattern and syllabus is also different for B.Arch and B.Planning paper.
