I filled the forms for NEET 2026 and CUET 2026 and also appeared for my Class 12 CBSE board exams, but they went very badly and I might even fail. My preparation for both exams is almost zero, so clearing them this year seems unlikely. Even if I pass, my percentage will be very low. I am thinking of taking a drop year for NEET 2027 and repeating Class 12 from MP Board to improve my marks and possibly
It sounds like you are going through a heavy moment, but let me tell you straight: you are actually in a much better position to pivot than most people think. Taking a gap year or drop year is a very common and strategic move, especially when your goals (NEET and CUET ) require a level of focus that your current circumstances don't allow.
Also, you can absolutely do it via the MP Board. Many students who find their Class 12 marks insufficient (especially for competitive exams like NEET ) choose to repeat the year through a different state board like MPBSE (Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education).
