If you are talking about jee main examination then maybe yes you have got a rank which will give you a government college. You have two options now whether you can choose a specific branch or a specific College and then check out the cutoff. If you are in want of NITs then you will have to wait for a few rounds then you will get one, but the branch won't be of your choice, if you choose for other colleges then you can get the branches which you want.
