    Hello  anamika

    If you want to get admission in any of the college through josaa than you should .

    There are chances that you may get non core branch in many nits like ( nit Raipur ; jamshedpur; Hamirpur etc.) and in some other colleges through josaa .

    Bug if you want only top ranked college with core branch than you should drop it.

    But even you got any seat ( low ranked college ) ; you can withdraw your seat and refund after 7 rounds. So I would suggest you to take part in counseling even if you drop this year.

    You will get to know a lots of things .

    So you should take part .And if you will not get a good college till 7 th round you can withdraw .( I am in nit kurukshetra ; and from girls qouta I think chances are there to get seat )You can go with state government college also.

    Ews category is introduced first time.So difficult to say anything.But according to statistics ; fair chance to get admission in nits.( Branch depend upon exact situation)

    Choice filling is most important and very tricky work .First you should select those colleges in which you want to go ; and arrange in it preference wise along with branch.

    I don't know  much about colleges...then what should I do??
    I got 16k in upsee as well...should I take part in it's counseilling??

    If you only want nit than you should not take part .If you are ok with other colleges ( colleges in upsee ) than you can go with this also.Firstly you should be more focused on nit ( because you will get a tag ) For other queries and in details you can reach / text personally if you want. Good luck
