I got 492 in Neet 2025 my rank 62k which college possible in Maharashtra

With a NEET 2025 score of 492 and an AIR of 62,000 , getting an MBBS seat in a government college in Maharashtra under the general category is unlikely . Most government colleges in the state close admissions at much lower ranks—top colleges like GMC Mumbai and BJMC Pune usually close below 6,000 , and even newer government colleges tend to close below 40,000 .

That said, you have a good chance in private or semi-government colleges , where cutoffs are more relaxed. If you belong to a reserved category , your chances improve slightly, especially in state quota seats.

Make sure to participate in state counselling rounds and keep an eye on mop-up rounds , where seats occasionally open up.
