I got 71% in 12th board belonging to obc, so can I eligible for iit if I will secure a good rank in jee mains this year?

As you have mentioned that you have secured 71% in your 12th examination of board then it is not possible for possible for you to get seat in any of the government engineering colleges which accepts students on the basis of JEE Mains and JEE Advance. As the minimum criteria for eligibility to qualify JEE is 75% im 12th for OBC candidates or if you have done your 12th from state board then you should be among top 20 percentile students.

For general and obc both have to score minimum 75% in cbse board for admission in IIT or nit .
If you are from cbse board then you are not elligible for the same .
If you are from other board then check for top 20 percentile , if you are in then you are elligible for Jee .
