I got 71 percentile in mains 2019 can I get seat in nit?
Hello Pranay Raja..
According to careers360 rank formula,
Rank formula= [(100-total score) * (no of students wrote exam)] /100
No of students attended are 874469.
So your expected rank will be nearly around 2,53,596.
As per previous year jee mains, any rank below 2,00,000 will be qualified for jee advanced.
So according to expected rank of yours, so you are not eligible for jee advanced.
So don't worry prepare well and write april jee mains well. best of the two exams will be considered.
Yes you may get some nit, check official josaa site for opening and closing ranks of previous years.
Hope this helps you. All the best
Hello
Greetings
Your percentile is 71 It means 71% student of the Total student appeared for the Exam are Behind You Therefore 29% students of the Total students appeared for the exam are Ahead of You, Therefore Your calculated rank is 253596
Your Rank would change Either Your Percentile Score is Increases in the next attempt or Number of Student increases in the Next attempt If the Number of Student Increases to 1400000 and Your percentile remain same then Your New rank would be 406000
Your rank is Not Good and You should Try in the Next attempt of JEE Main which is JEE Main April and Try to perform well
If Your Percentile Score Increases in the Next attempt Then Your Rank would Be calculated By the Following Formula
(100 - your total percentile score (Higher of two)) X Student appeared in JEE Main/100
At this rank It is Not possible to get admission into any NIT, Please try better in the next attempt of JEE Main
You should Try to get more than 98 percentile for NIT
