I got 74 percentage with 4077 rank in ppmet but I need a government seat due to family financial conditions because my grandfather are in a critical situations and her medicines fees is very high as compared to my father salary please help me in this condition
Hello Dear Student,
With a 74% score in Class 12 and a PPMET rank of 4077 , getting a seat in a government B.Sc. Nursing college may be challenging, but it is not impossible. Government nursing colleges in Punjab have limited seats, and admission depends on category, counselling round, and seat availability. BFUHS conducts counselling for thousands of B.Sc. Nursing seats across government and private colleges.
Since your family's financial situation is difficult, you should not lose hope. Here are some steps you can take:
- Participate in all counselling rounds , including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds. Seats sometimes become available when higher-ranked candidates withdraw.
- Apply for government scholarships , post-matric scholarships, and fee-reimbursement schemes if you belong to SC/ST/OBC/EWS or other eligible categories.
- Check whether the nursing colleges you are allotted offer fee concessions, scholarships, or financial aid for economically weaker students.
- Keep government colleges as your highest preferences during counselling, such as colleges affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences , including government nursing colleges in Amritsar, Patiala, Faridkot, and other government institutions.
- If a government seat is not allotted initially, consider taking a lower-fee private college and simultaneously applying for scholarships and educational loans with interest subsidies.
Hope it helps!
