i got 95.40% in class 12..so can i get a good engineering college
Hello Pramila,
The admission to the B.tech courses in colleges all over India is based on two factors:
1. The Rank of the student in any competitive examinations.
2. Minimum required marks in class 12 (which in general is around 60-65%)
The rank of the student is considered when he/she takes the following exams for admission to B.Tech courses:
- The IITJEE for admission in IITs, NITs, GFTIs and the IIITs.
- The state exams for their respective colleges like WBJEE, KCET, OJEE
- The exams held by and for the Private colleges like SRMJEE, BITSAT etc.
Some colleges consider the rank of any one of the above exams or have their own admission criteria. Hence coming back to your question, only securing good grades in class 12 and not appearing for any competitive exams for B.Tech would not get you into any good Engineering college.
Hi,
You need to write entrance exams in oder to get admission for engineering in merit seats. There are state level and national level entrance exam conducted for this. If you want to study without writing entrance exams then you can apply for management seats and private colleges. There are some top private institutes where you can pursue engineering. The details are also available in the official sites of respective colleges or you can check it on following link
