i got a rank of 4580 this time in neet. Can i get a rank of above 500 if i drop a year? or should i just take a private seat even though there will be mostly non clinical subjects to choose from this time.

I believe you still had options this year with a Rank of 4580 in NEET to secure a seat in one of the Government or State Medical Colleges.

However if you do not have financial or monetary issues and are getting admission in a Top Government Medical College like KIMS Bangalore or KMC Manipal, I would advise you to go for it. Ensure your Medical Colleges has proper infrastrcuture, faculty and hospital facilities for effective medical education.

Else, you are one of the luckiest batch with NEET 2021 scheduled just months away in May or June this year. You may considering preparing for few more months with the same dedication and finally getting into a Top Government Medical College like AIIMS or JIPMER the next fall.
