Hello Ananya,
Yes you can change bracnh but only after completion of first year as well as you will have to score good marks to apply for branch change. If not so then you parents will have to visit the main branch and apply with a proper valid reason.
Apart from this, if you want to learn AI and ML then you can also carry out the normal degree with BTech and you can learn from the coaching institutes or online classes such as coursera.org etc.
