I got my seat allotment today in ECE in Chennai in category-1, my rank is 17.6 K. Is there any upgrade option for CSE under category-2 either for vellore or chennai? Please guide

Hello aspirant, first of all congratulations on getting a seat in ECE in Chennai in category-1. Now you can either book the seat or forfeit it completely. It is not possible to upgrade your seat to CSE under category 2. Choice filling is a very important part of counselling process and you get the seat based on your choices filled. ECE is also a good branch so you shouldn't worry much about getting CSE. Also many ECE students study coding after getting admission to try for CSE based companies. So if there is no changing of branch once it has been allotted to you in counselling process. Also you can upgrade your branch to CSE in 2nd year if you get a very good CGPA in 1st year exams.
