I got rank in pes3295 iapted CSE
Hello!!
Plz mention the question clearly as it is not clear.
Thank you
PES university has good placements record.

If you have the money then go ahed. I personally would suggest you to get in through PESAT or COMEDK if not CET. It would cost you around 7Lakhs per year. So for 4 years it would cost you around 30Lakhs. But for the same seat PESAT will cost you around 16–18Lakhs. I got in through CET so it didn't cost me more than 3.5–4L. so the degree as such has no value , it's what you learnt during the course of degree. It depends on what you are looking for, if you have the money then join management quota in PES south campus. It has a lower cost but almost same facilities in placements.
⇝call 7 6 7 6 0 8 0 0 0 8 for admission in PES UNIVERSITY, Well this year it was me who was sitting for placements and so I think i am a suited candidate to answer this.
The placements for this year were above average. Not awesome but not bad either.
Average candidates found their way to a good company with an average ctc of around 5 to 6 lpa. There were good profiles being offered. This is the CTC bracket where half of the cse students would fall in.
Some bright students got their dream companies.Highest package being microsoft (24 lpa which later got increased by a very significant margin.I heard 30+ lpa from the guy who got placed.I can’t remember the exact figure.)
All the high scoring students were also placed in companies they would accept anyday with open arms.
Few students got unexpectedly high packages from big companies. They never expected that for themselves.
Other students went for MS in renowned universities abroad.
There was only 1 mass recruiter which was accenture who took around 100 students mostly from ece followed by ise and cse. This number is far less than other colleges of bangalore where Accenture,Infosys,TCS,Wipro all visited hiring many more. This is a good sign for pesit bsc since most of the students were already placed without having to call mass recruiters.
Placements for Information science were on similar lines but was not as good as compared to cse. Atleast half batch was still remaining to be placed while cse was almost done.Later most of them got placed.I Still don’t know why it happens because there is no difference in both of them except for a ‘c' and 'i' .
Ece department lacked core companies.Majority of the batch got placed but the average ctc will be low when compared to Cse and Ise.
Companies
To be honest ,this year PES was exceptional in placements and the kind of companies that visited PES were top notch.100 plus companies have visited the campus.Pesit main campus and PES university bagged most of the high packages and that too in double digits for companies offering double digit salary. The placements were comparable to any top IITs . Since, this was the first batch graduating from PES university ,college administration really focussed on their success and this is where pesit south got hit very hard.
No doubt that PES university had many talented students with fancy resumes but pesit south suffered because of that since we were just the kind of VTU batch which graduated previous year but had to compete with 2 other campuses this year which were always better in every sense be it acadamics, internships and projects .If just the main campus was not enough for previous batches to compete, this year Pes university joined the party.
And guess what?
They outperformed even main campus students to an e

hello, Life at PESU (From what I have heard and seen)You'll find the curriculum to be tough if you are not that interested in studies.Scoring good grades requires some serious, as a result of the tough curriculum, if you follow it well, you'll have great knowledge in your field.Better peer group since it's harder to get a seat in RV either through CET or through ComedK and people who were really keen on joining RV would have got RV.Rules are a little strict I heard. Many companies do visit the campus however it might be harder because placement is run by the students.( I'm not sure if it's true and not sure how it actually works)Lot of opportunities in extra curricular and co curricular activities.
For admission guidelines: SEVEN SIX SEVEN SIX ZERO EIGHT ZERO ZERO ZERO EIGHT
Life at MSRIT (From what I have lived)Department is very chilled out. Attendance is not any issue.Lenient curriculum reduces the quality of knowledge. So it's upto your interest to learn more or less, rather than cover the syllabus from exam point of view.Peer group is good. However it's a little easy going. The lenient curriculum helps to invest time for you to do other productive things while not missing out on academics.Mechanical department here is a huge thing and given royal treatment.Extra curricular activities are great. Won many competitions in VTU. Almost all clubs are dominated by our department. Many many clubs that you could be a part of.When I visited RV campus, for the few moments that I got to see the labs, I felt they were a little old on equipments.I suggest you visit both the campuses.Placement here is coordinated by an exclusive department and is free of cost. They handle the placements really well. Great number of core companies visited this year.Rules are much more relaxed. For example, you don't have to wear your ID card all the time. Even for exams, if you have it, that's sufficient. You can call it as a relaxed college or having lesser discipline. It's a matter of perspective, now it's time for you to decide. It's not like if you join a college it will see to it that you'll do great. Every college has its own culture. You should decide what you want. You should decide what is best for you. It all depends on how you see yourself and how you make use of what is available. You will have something, some picture in mind that, you want to be this, you want to achieve this at the end of the course. Just choose what takes you there.Another important factor is the distance from your home) where you stay. If you live in the northern part of Bangalore say Yelahanka and choose RV, this decision will trouble you for 4 years. Commuting in Bangalore is a big deal and is getting bigger year after year.People think I'll travel no problem. Believe me. It is a huge concern and you have to give it a priority specially if you are going to travel more than 15kms one side. Avoid wasting time and energy on traveling. You'll definitely need it. Sometimes for 5 minutes' work, you'll end up traveling for 3 hours. And this scene happens more often when you join engineering.Just choose what's best for you. There is no such thing as a best college.Trust me. But there definitely a college that is best for you.Best of luck.
〴Admission helpline 76 7 6 ❍ 8 ❍❍❍ 8.I can answer only for the undergraduate faculty and facilities, so things may have changed in the meantime. This is going to be a long answer though. I’ve a lot to say about PESIT.
- Faculty
There are a few brilliant teachers, and a few okay ones, but the majority frustrated me near to tears.
The biggest problem was teachers are rote learners in PESIT - there was a teacher who was praised to high heavens by many and even I thought she was okay. Till she asked in class ‘why should JavaScript be written in a separate file rather than together with the HTML’ and answered ‘because otherwise it will be visible to end users’. To be fair to her, the book did say something similar. But she wasn’t thoughtful enough to remember that all client-side-technology is well client side. Which means the source code for an interpreted language has to be given to the browser. There is no way around it. And if my browser has it, I can get it too.
From what I hear most comparable colleges are not much better though. Ultimately, the teachers were sympathetic and not unnecessarily strict. They grade leniently, unless you piss them off; but even if you do, they grade you fairly - I can personally attest to that. They leave you to your own devices in labs and let you tinker around. And if you really want to do something, you can always find at least one teacher who’ll support and help you. They are also humble - you can research under IISc profs, and your profs won’t be offended.
The text books are superb and the library is a treasure trove. So you can ignore most of the faculty and learn on your own if you so choose.
Research
Non-existent as far as I could see. In my entire time there, I haven’t seen one professor publish a research paper or even discuss research with students in class. May be the experience is different at Master’s level - I don’t know. But I’ve sincere doubts about the research ethics of BMSCE teachers. A warning against plagiarism in final semester projects was plagiarised from another university’s website. A teacher’s master’s thesis abstract was plagiarised from an IEEE paper, which had no contribution from that teacher. So yeah, if you intend to go in to research staying away from BIT may be a good idea.
Coding culture
Non-existent. Sure there are a few folks who have participated in honorable competitive programming competitions. But 2 people don’t make a culture. I’ve never seen many (as in more than 5) people participating in coding competitions, or even programming for pleasure.
