Hello,
Yes, you are eligible for MBBS admission if you studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in Class 11 and 12 and meet the required criteria. According to the National Medical Commission (NMC), candidates must have passed Class 12 with PCB and English, securing at least 50% (40% for reserved categories) in PCB. Your Class 9 and 10 subjects do not affect MBBS eligibility, as only Class 12 subjects matter. Additionally, you must qualify NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) to secure admission in an MBBS program. Always check official guidelines for updates.
Hello Khushi,
Yes, you are eligible for MBBS admission as long as you have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in Class 11 and 12 and meet the following conditions:
-
You must have passed Class 12
with PCB as core subjects from a recognized board.
-
You need to qualify NEET-UG
, which is mandatory for MBBS admission in India.
- Mathematics is not required for MBBS , so not having it in Class 9 and 10 doesn’t matter.
As long as your Class 12 marks meet the minimum eligibility criteria (usually
50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC in PCB subjects
), you are eligible for MBBS admission.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
For MBBS admission, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as their main subjects from a recognized board. Since you chose PCB in Class 11 and 12, you fulfill this requirement. Additionally, meeting the minimum marks criteria set by medical colleges is essential. It is advisable to check the specific eligibility guidelines of the institutions where you plan to apply.
Yes, even if you took commerce in class 9th and 10th without maths, you are still eligible for MBBS admission if you took Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class 11th and 12th, as the crucial factor is your 10+2 subjects which should include these three science subjects to appear for NEET and gain admission to MBBS.
To be eligible for MBBS admission in India, you need to clear the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) which requires Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as your 10+2 subjects.
Your choice of commerce in class 9th and 10th does not affect your eligibility as long as you studied the required science subjects in class 11th and 12th.
Always consult the latest guidelines from the National Medical Commission (NMC) regarding NEET eligibility.
GOOD LUCK!!
