Let me tell you frankly, all that matters for IIT JEE is after class 10th, the only thing that matters before 10th is your aptitude for maths and your interest for science. Even if you didn’t get good marks in maths don’t worry, mathematics in 11th and 12th is way different than you have done before.

You've to study hard enough and have to contests in JEE Mains and then JEE Advance and have to score fairly well in both of them, I'm assuming you want to aim for the premier institution IIT Bombay. And I'm assuming that you're from general category as well.

So to secure a seat in IIT Bombay you have to have a rank that's really high that means in the range of 1 - 2500 AIR to get a nice course.
