An Engineering student (if has >80%) requires more than 99 percentile in CAT to get admission in any of the IIM's.
To get into :
IIM-A: 99+ percentile
IIM-B: Above 98.5 percentile
IIM-C: Above 99.5 percentile.
The cutoffs decrease with respect to categories. For SC/ST students, the cutoff goes down by 12-15 percentile, while for OBC students it goes down by around 8-10 percentile.
