I have a marks of about 480, do i have a chance of getting a govt seat in west bengal state quota ?

Bankura Sammilani Medical College, Bankura:- 487

Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan:- 500
Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata:- 509
North Bengal Medical College, Sushrutanagar:- 487

So dear you still have chance of getting a seat in Government Medical College in west bengal with 480 marks in hand.  You may get a seat in 2nd round of Counselling.

Neverthless, in 2018, under General Category, 479 marks under State Quota secured a seat in Maldah Medical College. 468 marks got a seat in a Private Medical college under General Category. Under All India Quota, 539 marks secured a seat in a Government Medical College. And for OBC category, 478 marks got a seat in OBC A category and 474 marks got seat in OBC B category under State Quota. It is much lesser for SC and ST categories. To be honest, with 480 marks you stand a fair chance and you can easily get a Medical seat. Only getting a Medical seat in Government Medical College, Kolkata might be little tough if you are.from General Category.
